MetroLink Properties

Here are the important MetroLink Properties that you need to remember and how and when to use it. Make sure you have the latest MetroLink to display all the MetroLink Properties. Check out my other blog MetroLink with Image to add the Image and NoFocusImage on your MetroLink Properties.

1. DisplayFocus – can be set to either True or False and the default is False.  When set to True a broken line will be displayed when the control receives a focus.

2. FontSize – we have 3 choices for FontSize, Small, Medium and Tall.

3. FontWeight – we also have 3 choices for FontWeight, Light, Regular and Bold.

4. Image – this is one of the newest in the MetroLink Properties.  This will be the image that will be displayed when user clicked the MetroLink or MouseHover to it.

Hint : Perfect color for the image is black so that when you change your theme it will automatically be change to adapt with your theme.

5. NoFocusImage – this is also new in the MetroLink Properties.  This will be the image that will be displayed when MetroLink is at its normal state.

6. ImageSize – this will determine the size of the image that will be displayed in MetroLink.

7. ImageAlign – this will determine on where the image will displayed on your MetroLink.  Options are TopLeft, TopCenter, TopRight, MiddleLeft, MiddleCenter, MiddleRight, BottomLeft, BottomCenter and BottomRight.

8. UseCustomBackColor – can be set to either True or False and the default is False.  When set to True it will bypass the Theme color and will use what ever color is set in BackColor Property.

9. UseCustomForeColor – can be set to either True or False and the default is False.  When set to True it will bypass the Theme color and will use what ever color is set in ForeColor Property.

10. UseStyleColor – can be set to either True or False and the default is False.  When set to True it will change the ForeColor of the MetroLink text based on the Style.
