On this video How To Install mySQL in Windows 10 I will show you on how to install and setup mySQL server in Windows 10. I will show you on how to configure mySQL to act as a server so that other computers or application can connect to it. The mySQL version that I use in this video is mySQL version 5.6.26.

MySQL (officially pronounced as /maɪ ˌɛskjuːˈɛl/ “My S-Q-L”, and unofficially as /maɪ ˈsiːkwəl/ “My Sequel”) is an open-source relational database management system (RDBMS); in July 2013, it was the world’s second most widely used RDBMS, and the most widely used open-source client–server RDBMS.

Before we can start to install and setup mySQL in Windows 10 first we need to download the intaller from mySQL website. Just click here so that it will direct you to download page of mySQL.

One you are in download page of mySQL just scroll on the middle of the page on you will find something like the image below. Click the download button.

Scroll again at the bottom of the page then you will something like on the image below from where you can choose to download mysql installer web community which is an online installer and the other one is the offline installer.

After you from eighther the online or offline mySQL installer it will take you to this page. This is a tricky part from where it looks like it will require you to login or signup for a Oracle web account. You can choose not to do that by simply clicking the “No thanks, just start my download” link.

Once you click that link it will start to downloadn the mySQL server installer.
